Abuela's Birthday

Abuela's birthday was this past Saturday, the 28th, and as usual we all gathered to celebrate. Olivia got to sing her favorite happy birthday song and blow out candles. We had a wonderful dinner and stuffed ourselves. The ice cream cakes were the best! Happy birthday "Abi" as Olivia likes to call her!

Swimming with Friends

Olivia loves to have her friend's come swim at grandma's pool with her. Recently Jackson and Hudson joined us for a "fwim" as Jackson would say! We had so much fun! Little Hudson is getting so big, and Olivia loves to cater to him when he cries. I guess you can call shoving his pasie in his mouth "catering to him." He didn't seem to mind.

First trip to the zoo!

We took Olivia to the zoo this past Friday and she loved it. The baby elephant was our favorite. We visited the goats in the petting zoo and instead of brushing them Olivia brushed her own hair with the goat brushes. It was very exciting. We will definitley revisit the zoo during the cooler months.

Like always, we are snapping shots of Olivia whenever we can. I am off for the summer and we are swimming almost everyday. She loves her bathing suits and is getting really great at using her floaties. I think she may actually be swimming by the end of the summer. I threw in a picture of our little Major as well, he isn't so little anymore and he is truly Olivia's best friend. They love each other! I will do a better job of updating now that I have more time off.

Tia Mana and Uncle Kenny's wedding

Later in May, the 31st, Michelle and Kenny finally decided to officially tie the knot. It was a beautiful wedding at the Hotel Zaza. It was a very close and intimate family affair. Our brother, Marcelo, got ordained and married them in the lovely and lavish Warwick Apartment. Later we were treated to a wonderful feast. Olivia had a blast, running all over the 2,00o sq. ft room, throwing flower petals and posing for the ever so wonderful Dixie Dalton (our favorite photographer). We love Kenny so much and could not be more thrilled that he is ofiicially part of the family, after all these years!

Sorrel's wedding

A dear childhood friend of mine, Sorrel Schmidt, now Reeder, got married on May 10th. Jesse, Olivia and I all traveled to Wimberley, Texas to celebrate with her. Sorrel was my very best friend from 5th to 8th grade and even though our lives are far away I am hoping to rekindle our closeness. It was a beautiful wedding at the Red Corral Ranch with peacocks and all! Olivia chased them making barking noises at them, I guess everything is a dog at this age! We wish Sorrel and Derek a lifetime of happiness and hope to see them soon!

Daddy and Uncle Kenny's birthdays

The 7th of May is Jesse's birthday and the 9th is Uncle Kenny's so we of course all celebrated together. Olivia loves birthdays, she loves to sing the happy birthday song and blow out the candles, whether it is her cake or not.
