Tis the Season for Giving

My school had a food drive last week and I was overhwelmed at the amount of food they brought in. Of course, it helps that the class who brought the most wins a pizza party, but these truly are awesome kiddos. Our students don't have much to begin with so it is really touching to see their ability to give to others!

The counselor's office-this is just the floor, she had a table or two completely loaded as well.

Lake Travis

As many of you know Jesse's family lives out at Lake Travis and he grew up and lived out there unitl he moved here to Houston with me. We love the Lake, it's one of the main reasons I love Austin so much! I have so many wonderful memories there! It is beautiful and all the hills and trees make you wonder why all of Texas can't look like this! We stopped at a church off of 620 that has a great overlooking view of the lake. It is really low still, but we love it anyway!

Luke and Benjamin Boulette

The same day we got to Austin our dear friends Jason and Megan welcomed their newest edition Benjamin Scott Boulette. He is adorable and perfect! He was 6 pounds 8 ounces and mom and baby were doing fantastic when we visited them Saturday. Luke is also getting so big and he is so sweet and loving towards us.

Weekend trip to Austin

Last weekend we went to Austin to visit Jesse's family and some friends. We decided we were going to eat at unique Austin spots which included Round Rock Donuts, Rudy's BBQ, Dan's Hamburgers, Hey Cupcake, and Suzi's China Grill.

This was my first experience with Round Rock donuts-they are AWESOME! I don't know what they use in their special glaze, but the donuts are orange! Don't judge them by the color though, they melt in your mouth, literally!

This is the Hey Cupcake trailer-it is adorable. I was only going to take pictures of it for my sister because she loves cupcakes, but when I saw the menu I had to try them. I ordered a Michael Jackosn and a 24 Karat-a chocolate cupcake, and a carrot cake cupcake both topped with the most delicious cream cheese icing I have ever had. I will be returning on our next visit!

This is the box cover for the donuts-world famous!

And of course, the longhorns won that day so the tower was lit up orange all night and we had to take a picture of it

Teaching her as early as possible-she can't do it yet, but she is well on her way!

Halloween

We went trick-or-treating in my folks' hood and Olivia got a bunch of candy, that's exactly what she needs:) I was a witch and she was a sweet lady bug-she looked adorable!

Mommy the Good Witch!

She was already tired and we hadn't even left yet!

Lady bug tattoo

I love this picture!

My posing lady bug! She loves to cheese it up!

Night before Halloween

Friday night, tia mana and tio Kenny had an annual Halloween party to attend and we went over to help out with the costumes (the princess Leya buns) and we had so much fun watching them and trying on wigs!

Mana was Princess Leya and Kenny was a gangsta rapper-Nice Coolio wig, and Flavor Flave clock!

Mana's costume came with a wig, but she did her own buns. Jesse looks great in it though, right?
Kenny too?

Olivia had to get buns too-she wanted to look like her tia, she called her "Princess Leti"

Hot Princess Leya!

Our pumpkins

We carved two pumpkins, a spider and a longhorn!

Pumpkin Carving

Last weekend, we all got together and my parents' house for some pumpkin carving fun! We carved a total of five pumpkins and they all turned out great!
